Run & race with Usain Bolt today!
Four years after storming into the limelight, breaking world records in 100m and 200m, Usain Bolt is all set to take on his rivals in his bid to cement his status as a ‘living legend’.
Bolt was absolutely dominant after Beijing Olympic Ceremony, and didn't have to necessarily put forth his best effort to win, but he will likely need to be better and more focused in London.
No More The Fastest Man In The World
Bolt set the world record in Beijing Olympic Games at 9.69 seconds and lowered 9.58 a year later at the world championships a year later. The whole world remembers him after the Beijing Opening Ceremony. His coach, Glen Mills, says a 100-meter run in the 9.4-second range is possible this time around. However, Bolt recently revealed that he had hamstring problems related to a bad back. Now the biggest question heading into the Olympics is whether four weeks were enough for Bolt to work out the kinks.
Ready To Strike Again
Is it possible that Bolt, Blake and Powell could complete a Jamaican hat-trick of medals in the 100m? "It's going to be interesting," said Usain Bolt. "But I can't call that because I can't say if everybody will be relaxed on the day. But I'm going out there to win. I can't speak for anyone else."
Bolt faces a tough test from countryman Yohan Blake in 100-meter and 200-meter events, as well as rejuvenated American Tyson Gay in the 100. The Americans will also send out a strong team in the relay, so it isn't inconceivable to think that Bolt could be shut out in terms of golds. There may be more Usain Bolt Olympics, and the Usain Bolt record may be broken. Although everything is hard to say, Usain Bolt’s 100m and 200m are worth waiting for and expecting. Usain Bolt, the legend, will come again.
