Google’s Own Tablet “Google Play” to Be Released in July at a Low Price?

Last December, Eric Schmidt, the current executive chairman of Google said that Google had been working on its own tablet which would be in competition with iPad in the near future. His words seems to be accord with some recent reports which claim that the real purpose of the Google’s online store is to sell its forthcoming Google-branded tablet directly.

It is said that Google is underway to bring some special design changes to the tablet and alsolower the price of the table, so it can be more competitive. Which version of Android will power this device is still unknown. But it is widely guessed the OS will be the upcoming Android Jelly Bean rather than Android Ice Cream Sandwich. People also speculate that this tablet will be called “Google Play” for Google recently has purchased 18 domain names related to the word "Play".

This tablet probably will not make its debut until July, according to the staff writer of WebProNews, Mike Fossum who got this information from a Google insider.
