In 2011, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the new ML-Class SUV and now the new 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class is about to debut late this year.
The luxury Broadly-spaced Mercedes-Benz GL Class SUV has always been very popular in the market. Recently, spy photographers have snapped images of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL Class in cold weather testing, wearing the least camouflage to date. A LED strip for daytime running lights appears to be in the headlights. While at the rear, the area for the brake lights is extended and the tail lights get a new shape.

The broadly-spaced two-bar grille and large area for the Mercedes emblem stand out at the front end. The rear of the car is basically the same as the current GL except the exhaust outlets. The exhaust outlets are completely hidden, rather than inset in the lower portion of the bumper as in the current GL.
Based on the same underpinnings as the 2012 M Class, the new GL Class should also carry a similar engine lineup to its smaller sibling. This means a 302-horsepower 3.5-liter gasoline V-8 in the GL350, and a reworked 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 making 240 horsepower and 455 pound-feet in the new GL350 BlueTec. There’ll be a new GL63 AMG model, which like the ML63 AMG will come with a twin-turbo charged 5.5-liter V-8 engine rated at 518 horsepower with a 7 speed automatic transmission gearbox.
