Rise of Laser and LED Projector

If 2011 was the rise of LED light source, 2012 must be rising-up year of laser and LED hybrid light source. This hybrid light source is prospective as it not only has the advantages of LED light source—long expectancy and high color saturation—but it solves the problem of LED brightness.

In the end of 2011, some manufacturers took the lead to release laser and LED light source products. With high brightness of 2000 lumens, it is sufficient to meet the requirements of most business and education users. In the early 2012 US CES Exhibition, many projector manufacturers like Optoma, Viewsonic and Acer have also released the latest market share.

Why does this new light source technology receive such high expectation of? Besides of advantages of high brightness, longevity and high color saturation, hybrid laser+LED light source products adopt a fish-eye lens short focal design. It keeps with the trend of modern business education projectors and it is also a perfect way to push forward this new hybrid technology particularly in a sally port of education products which occupy the largest market share.

Solid light source projector products are again the shining points on the 2012 CES Exhibition. There were several new solid light source projector products displayed by many Texas-led DLP terminal manufacturers, aiming to publicize the new products in 2012. Director General of PMA, Dr. William Coggshall said,  to their anticipation, global market scale of new 2012 projectors (close to 500 lumens) would grow two fold compared with that in 2011.
